Scott: Professor, you founded the Institute of Molecular Medicine. Can you talk about what you do there and what the mission of that company is?

Prof. Garth Nicolson: The Institute for Molecular Medicine is a non-profit research organization dedicated to work on chronic diseases and cancer. We have a variety of different projects that involve these areas, everything from neurodegenerative diseases, like Alzheimer's Disease, for example. Fatiguing illnesses; we've worked on Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia Syndrome. Chronic infections; for example, we've worked on Lyme's Disease and other chronic conditions, chronic mycoplasmal infections, for example.

It really is a research organization. Although we do clinical trials. Our primary emphasis is research.
